MAX BUTLER: KEYBOARDS & VOCALS

As the newest member of the Steve Bardwil Band, Max has been laying down keys with them for more than 10 years.  Like other members of the band, he’s touring with Duane Betts. He’s also playing with Warners’ artist, guitarist Patrick Droney, among others. 

In a departure from the rest of the guys, he’s got a theatrical vibe as well as classical training. He spent years as Music Director at the L.A. chapter of the legendary Second City Theatre. In Boston he worked with the American Repertory Theatre.

As proud as he is of his classical training, it doesn’t impede his ability to rock.  At home on piano and organ, his style was influenced by Dr. John, Little Feat’s Billy Payne, Steve Winwood, Randy Newman, The Faces’ Ian McLagan and Benmont Tench.

Max’s magic on the keys has really elevated the sonic texture of the band.
